VOCAL COACHING AND MUSIC INSTRUCTION
Denine Monet is a jazz and multi-style vocalist who teaches in the Seattle area. She offers vocal technique, music theory and performance coaching for all ages. In addition to private lessons, she leads vocal workshops for singing groups. Her one-on-one instruction covers the fundamentals of healthy singing, to enhance support, resonance and vocal flexibility. Students learn healthy singing posture, breathing, support, body connection to the sound, tone placement, resonance development (throat, tongue, jaw, sinus issues), vowel formation, melody/rhythm, lyric interpretation, phrasing, and when requested, performance techniques. Denine has experience providing Kindermusik instruction for children and vocal performance services in the Seattle area. She has taught Kindermusik in Kirkland to families with children from newborn to seven years of age.
Vocal Group Workshops
Her vocal group workshops, co-taught with Will Flash, provide tips for vocal
technique, group singing, lyric interpretation, performance, and include sound
equipment evaluations, to help each singing group maximize its performance
sound. Workshops are often tailored to focus on each group’s unique
needs.
